Thinking about the deer today in New England, how they might be surviving through this late rather cold and still snowy spring…Well we hope they take inspiration from these lovely spotted temple deer from Burma, surviving somehow since the 19th Century amidst the political and religious unrest in Burma/Myanmar. And now they are nestled in our Gallery here in Shelburne, VT until they find a new home. Carved of wood and gilt painted, and mounted with real antlers, they are stunningly peaceful and beautiful.
