This is a lovely Japanese gold gilt and lacquered wooden Buddha standing in compassionate mudra. We acquired it from a large Japanese collection this past year from one of many buying trips.
Our Buddha was hand-carved and hand gilt and then the head curls were finely painted with a gorgeous black glaze.
Dimensions: 13.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide
Possibilities: It would look perfect indoors in your special tokanoma, shrine, or mediation space.
