China, a finely carved early Han dynasty jade rectangular ornament with three Chinese calligraphy symbols for “mountains” carved upon its obverse. This symbology is most frequently seen on Warring States and Han bronze mirrors. It has been drilled in seven places on its long side for attachment this is a significant jade ornament with a mottled russet and dark green color from thousands of years of age and burial, Han Dynasty, 2nd century.
Lovely example with visible edge wear and hand carved, hand drilled details.
