An ancient Chinese Han Dynasty cocoon jar or oil jar named because of its iconic natural looking elongated “cocoon” style shape, Beautiful remnants of its aged original “swirling” painted surface. Comes with a custom black wood stand.
The cocoon jar is sometimes called a “duck-egg jar”, used as a wine vessel during Han Dynasty.
