A fine small-scale Japanese antique hand-painted six panel folding screen byobu conceived in a convenient size 13.5 inches high and 36 inches long.
Lovely vivid colors featuring Classic colorful spring and summer subject matter: cranes, cherry trees, blue waters and more. Pure eye candy that is eminently installable!
Comes as found with original black lacquer frame with bronze embellishments and original backing paper- just the way we like to find them.
These small screens called -Hina- or doll screens, were originally displayed with doll collections.
Age: Meiji period, 1868-1912.
