Glaze: The earth tone glazes are soft, serene, and inviting with subtle colors reminding us of western USA mountain ranges and of the southwest; and the hand painting is superb

Dimensions: 18 inches tall
Provenance: From old German collection
History:
Founded in 1883 by Peter Dümler and his brother in law Albert Breiden in Western Germany near Koblenz, this factory was one of West Germany’s leading ceramic companies during the 1950s and 1960s. They produced a wide range of forms and glazes of good quality, using white clay and with innovative styles and colors. The company closed in 1992. From inception we can admire its earliest designers: artists van der Velde and Reinhold Hanke, and others.
