An important large scale hand cast bronze sculpture of a sensual nude woman circa 1939 by mid-century American sculptor Stuart Benson (1877-1949).
The bronze figure cast in an Art Deco manner in a Japanese inspired bronze form and plank style display lower base.
Dimensions Height: 29.5″ , 100 lbs
Classic nude female mid-century pose complete with signed base. She is simply yet seductively cast- a charming and subtle design. Her base is reminiscent of Japans often encountered thick cut wood planks with rough edging often used to display prized okimono sculptures.
