This fine 140 year old Japanese Andon lamp wooden light fixture, would look wonderful in your interior. And it is immediately usable.

In old Japan, lighting was placed for atmosphere and ambiance, not just lighting. Soft light diffused through japanese rice paper lined lamps and lanterns created a warm, peaceful room of wabi-sabi mystery.

It is a well preserved antique in good condition with it’s original bamboo wood handle, red lacquer frame, and all authentic original vertical sliding wood frames with recent rice paper sides. In addition it is accompanied by its original 11″ bronze plate and 4″ porcelain candle dish. Our Japanese specialists have merely restored the original washi paper lining on interior. This Andon lamp is functionable and can be utilized with it’s candle dishes and looks just super as a decorative chair accent.
