Japan, a simple yet attractive, understated old hand painting on paper scroll of a Bird, Plumb, & Bamboo hand painted in sumi ink on paper.
This is an early one dating to the Meiji period, 19th century.

Dimensions: Scroll 26 inches wide and 37 inches length.

Well loved and clearly often displayed, this handsome painting is skillfully and tastefully rendered in sumi ink color on paper with a pleasantly aged gold brocade border and aged toning background appropriate to its age.

It is skillfully mounted on an old brocade background. Black wooden rollers complete this fine scroll.
