Japan, a fine two-panel tea screen Byobu of a Horse and groom and nearby stable with white stallion and sakura (cherry tree) in full bloom. This attractive screen dates to the late Meiji period.
It is beautifully painted with a handsome gold mist background by a skillful artist painter and is signed with inscription and seals in right corner:
Hara Zaisho/Zaishan late 19th century, Bakumatsu Meiji painter.
Dimensions: 69.75 high and 70 inches wide extended.
