This is an extraordinary opportunity to collect and acquire a scarce pair of Japanese hand cast bronze “Shinto Ceremony” hand bells featuring human like deity faces surrounded by five individual bells. They are complete with long angular looped handles. The handles comfortably accommodate ones hand for attractive display. They may have been rung by dancers is special ceremony.
The bells each contain pellets that emit a pleasant alerting sound when gently shaken.
They boast an original rich and warm colored dark chocolate brown patina appropriate to their good age.
