Japan, a pair of old 19th century Koi or Carp depicts a mature fish and its smaller youthful off spring – both ripple the waters among the reeds in this auspicious art composition. It is a hand painting on paper scroll dating to the Taisho period, early 20th century. Koi soothe the mind and spirits and reminds us of important cultural significance.
