Hard to find red bronze “Bamboo” Form Ikebana Vase

This bronze vase was designed and signed by Japan National Living Treasure artist, Takahashi Keiten. See signature on bottom.

Japan, a stunning old handcrafted bronze and richly surfaced classic Ikebana bamboo handled vase/vessel, masterfully hand cast and hand finished in an original “murashido” dark red bronze patinated color.

This fine vase was finished using a centuries old murashido red oil technique- the vase would have been dipped in hot oil to give it a beautiful deep red swirling patina affect.

Take a look- it is quite spectacular.

It’s excellent artistic expression is presented in it’s rarely found articulated “bamboo” form handle and simple round body lines.
