Big and beautiful
From Japan comes this old and beautiful hand cast bronze Usubata or flower vase Haineke with dramatic “dragon and tiger” bands motif. It is dated 1927 and signed Kazan, an authentic art deco period bronze work of art. This vase may be used for dried or live Ikebana flowers and arranging with an ample 4″ diameter opening at top.
Quality: It is beautifully hand finished in an original and unusual multi colored surface finish. Very nice patina.
An impressive presentation conjuring a wabi sabi (perfection of the imperfection) feeling in this unique transformative design.
Fine quality. Superb casting. Mild surface handling traces from good age. A unique choice for a handsome centerpiece presentation.
