From Japan comes this beautiful hand cast bronze “wabi sabi” gourd vase with an attractive hand hammered finish. It comes complete with its original signed collector storage box tomobako. This vase is in beautiful condition giving it a beautiful one of a kind visually delightful effect.
Today these works are highly collectible and serve as wonderful decorative accents or for dried flower arrangements such as bud vases.
It is artisan signed Tsunetaro Futagami (1894-).
About Nitten Exhibition
The Nitten is the most popular and prestigious art organization in Japan, with only best artists from all over Japan participating in its annual exhibitions. It started and 1907 by Japanese Imperial Ministry of Education and was known then as Bunten show , later on it was renamed again in to Teiten and after reorganization of Imperial Art Academy n 1937, became known is Nitten show.
