A fine old Japanese Antique hand thrown and glazed “Mushroom & Maple leaf” Covered Bowl.

This superb antique was crafted likely at Shigaraki kiln – world famous for there rich cream and green glazed ceramics and which are collected internationally.

The crafting and decoration is extremely fine: the pierced lower bowl with beautiful hand painted maple leaf inside and fine gilt and color detailing outside , the accentuated mushroom topped cover glazed in rich gold gilt, green, and cream with splashes of blue in multiple glazes

Dimensions: 7 inches diameter and 5 inches high

Notice the old crackled glazing on the inside sections. These were gently used but well cared for and loved.
