An antique 6-step cabinet “kaidan” with 9 drawers and storage compartments and with original handwrought hardware, two sections. Fine Japanese craftsmanship with original dove tail construction and hand forged drawer pulls.
Fab storage, will store a lot of stuff.

Crafted in two (2) sections for convenient portability
Made of keyaki, zelkova, and paulownia woods. Remnants of old lacquer finish.
Meiji period, circa 1860s-1890s.

Both top and bottom large and small sliding doors reveal open spaces galore and good storage convenience.

Dimensions: Totally 79.5 inches high and 67 inches Long and 33.5 inches deep
Top section is 34 inches high and bottom section is 45.5 inches high (see photos demarcating the two with blue colored tape).
Note: this is a two section stacked double kaidan tansu. The sections stack stabile upon each other.
