Japan, a fine, early large gong drum on its original stand – immediately playable and in remarkably good condition. It was crafted from leather and keyaki elm wood by Japanese master artisans during the Meiji period, 19th century. We will include a black sriker shown.
Notice the quality leather and riveted construction of the drum and the carefully sculpted wooden frame. This instrument displays well from either side.
