A hard to find pair of antique Japanese ceramic & Meiji coin fuchin or weights for hanging on the bottom edges of a scroll painting. Ceramic weights consist of 19th century Bizen Kiln barrel shaped pottery forms combined with 19th century Meiji period old coins. Cords are vintage and likely later replacements of earlier original cords.
Age: Meiji period, 1868-1912
These Meiji era (1868-1912) pottery weights are about 1.5 inches in length and when combined with the coins and tassels , the total measure about 1`1.5 inches in length.
