Designed and heavily hand cast by expert Japanese craftsmen it possesses wonderful surface stripes and an original old brown patina.

The splendid beast of this largest scale, was sourced from a large Japanese collection from Kyoto this past year.

It possesses a finely cast head, tail, paws, under feet , body stripes, and with an attractive original medium chocolate patina that showcases the artists’ superb tiger striped design.

This is only the second example of this iconic large scale form we have seen – having had the pleasure of handling many larger scale Japanese animal sculptures.
