Collection of finds from our most recent Japanese acquisitions trip.
This is a group of six (6) smoking pipes – kiseru- of various styles and sizes and dating to the early to middle part of the 20th century. Group includes one pair with box as shown.
Dimensions: 13 inches to 4 inches in length
These kiseru are made of two separate brass or bronze alloy ends with a central section of bamboo.
We found a wood block print from the early 1800s of a geisha holding a kiseru frequently used during the Gion Geisha days.
You’ll love them, we guarantee it.
