A wonderful Japanese antique pair of two attractive hand-painted ceramic Iris, Maple, and Deer square shaped low bowls Kakuzara or ceramic plates dating to the early 20th century, Taisho period. Arita kiln. Each is signed verso and one is prolifically signed on its reverse.
The original signed collector wooden storage box tomobako is included.
Handcrafted. Finely painted details. Notice each master painted design includes extensive calligraphy writing on the surface of each bowl. Each is a unique work of art- elegant and useful ready for immediate display and use.
Please also note the craquelure surfaces- signs of great age.
