This superb antique hand cast bronze temple bell dates to 1900.
Dimensions: Bell measures 26.5 inches tall and 11.5 inches diameter. and weighs 55 pounds. It possesses a fine aged green patina appropriate to its age.
This remarkable antique Thailand cast bronze bell from a Rattanakosin temple is a rare survivor replete with winged deity like images on its top and would have been suspended in places of prayer or under temple eaves for ringing via rope to awaken the gods and perhaps call monks to court (see photo of a modern example)
