This superb antique hand cast bronze temple bell dates to the early 20th century.
Dimensions: Bell measures 29 inches tall and 14 inches diameter. and weighs 70 pounds (31.5 kg.) It has been lovingly used and possesses a fine aged patina appropriate to its age.
This remarkable antique Thailand cast bronze bell from a Rattanakosin temple is a rare survivor replete with winged deity like images on its top and would have been suspended in places of prayer or under temple eaves for ringing via rope to awaken the gods and perhaps call monks to court (see photo of a modern example)
