Signed Classic
This is a classic 1960’s three (3) seat long style Lutyens Bench made so famous for it’s enduring design by British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. Unlike modern light weight reproductions , this bench was designed with comfort and endurance in mind: crafted from dense, heavy top quality teak using mortise and tenon construction and features curved comfort teak wood seat installation the entire length of the bench (photo).
Rare original Label Signed KINGSLEY BATE, Manassas, Virginia is still present- one of America’s top makers during the mid last century.
Solid and Heavy. Genuinely old variegated grey and brown patina from loving use. We have applied a further protective coat of bees wax and citrus oil to ensure continued weather resistant use.
