Japan, an extraordinary keyaki wood (elmwood) door originally from a “Kura” store house, 19th century classic, Edo-Meiji period (1850-1912). Handmade from solid wood complete with original iron “key” lock access plate crafted by Japanese specialized artisans over 100 years ago. This is a handsome antique – a gem and rarely found today- even in Japan. It was previously installed in a gallery so is immediately use able with addition of standard hardware.
Dimensions: 73″ high and 40 3/8″ wide and 2″ thick (hardware not included).
The striking and well proportioned hand-planed door is immediately use able for installation or may be mounted as a wall art or fashioned into a truly impressive big coffee table. Nice aged patina.
