Japan a stunningly beautiful large hand carved Tsukubai Water Basin crafted from a rare red striped kurama granite. Kurama granite is no longer accessible in Japan and so this represents a rare find and opportunity to add one of these treasures to your favorite garden space.
Dimensions: 16 inches tall and 23 inches wide
Stone tsukubai water basins were originally installed in tea gardens and in a purposely “low” to the ground position. This encouraged visitors to stop and bow in a respectful, humble manner to perform purification of “body and soul” ritual.
