Japan, an old early 20th century hand-carved stone image of Ebisu one of Japan’s seven lucky gods signifying prosperity, good business, and patron of fishermen, circa 1920. He sits upon an outcrop wearing his notable hat and clutching his prize fish.
This image was clearly hand-carved in mingei Folk Art style for a special garden. It is the first we have seen in this style and would make eye appealing decor in your garden or home and maybe bring you greater prosperity.

History: Ebisu is the god of prosperity and wealth in business, and of abundance in crops, cereals and food in general; the patron of fishermen and therefore is represented with fishermen’s costumes such as a typical hat, a fishing rod in his right hand and a fish.
