Japan, a hard to find heavily hand cast frog or toad -kaeru- sculpture weighing almost 4 pounds, circa 1930.
It is marked JAPAN on its bottom.
It still retains its remarkable original paint color remnants of blue and black.
This handsome full throated critter with warts , actually natural glands, and retains a pleasing original and old patina appropriate to its considerable age- just the way we like to find them.
Heavy hand cast.

Dimensions: 4 inches tall and 6.5 inches length, weighs almost 4 pounds
Provenance: Old American garden.
