A fine, beautiful and uncommon style Japanese seated Buddhist stone Jizo Bosatsu who sits upon his lotus base and clutches in his hands the sacred wish granting jewel. This handsome hand carved example is sculpted from solid sand stone and dates to the Meiji period, 19th century.
