History:
Mounted archery was the most common and respected mode of Japanese warfare until the introduction of firearms about 1550. As a reflection of this, archery equipment was beautifully crafted with quivers ya made of hand formed bamboo, lacquer work, and leather strapping. The bamboo arrows were tipped with deadly hand-forged iron arrows just like these.
