Here’s a rare find from a collector we visited in Japan. A very unusual treasure from Japan.

This is a cache of 14 Old Japanese professional carpenter’s carving and chisel tools, including fine tataki nomi timber chisels, dating back to the 1930s. The bundle includes like new and used examples some very sharp and some still bearing the original old manufacturer branded name and label. Plus there’s a long saw tooth tool included. Most of these were originally fitted with quality red oak handles.

Large and small fine tools included. 14 tools in all.

Longest tool is 16.5 inches long and shortest is 5.5 inches in length.
