Japan, a handsome, ancient and hand carved stone lotus bowl shape that balances beautifully a top a separate tapered pyramidal stone base. This ensemble exhibits substantial patina and lichen from great age. The bowl masterfully and delicately carved and remains in fine quality. Dates many hundreds of years ago to the early Edo period, 17th century and possibly earlier.
A genuine treasure.
