This “Ryobundo” signed 19th century bronze lantern is superb in every detail. The Ryobundo kiln dating to the Meiji period was famous for their highest quality bronze works of art.

The detail is extremely fine: from the carved loop to the diaper top, micro cast sides, and lower skirt. It is signed on bottom.
