A finely cast Japanese traditional iron teapot – chagama- with a wonderful relief band and design of summer time bamboo trellises dotted with early flowers all around – an unusual motif and fine treasure from Japan. The bronze lid possesses an acorn fruit finial. The sides boast handles that allow suspension.
The original signed wooden collector storage box tomobako is a bonus and includes the original yellow wrapping cloth.
