Hard to find pair (2) we have seen in this form with their two prominent big feet.
Japan, an attractive and sturdy personal sized antique lantern and censer pair with a “Wise Old Owl” motif.
Found from a Japanese American tea garden.
Fine original used garden condition with the harder to find original verdigris gilt version and a matching owl with a brown patina appropriate to their age, Showa period.
Heavy quality capable of handling inclement weather conditions.
Easily displayable on their two big feet.
