Japan, an authentic early and seldom encountered solid cast bronze Kusaya farm house form two part censer dating to the late Meiji period 1900. It is signed on bottom.

Cast in a red bronze color in two sections, this censer possesses all the outstanding attributes of sophisticated Meiji samurai casting craftsmanship. The details of the thatched roof, vines, round portal, protruding gate, and twig door are very fine.

While numerous later iron versions can be found, locating one of these early bronze gems is truly a feat of luck.
