An opportunity to acquire a monumental hand carved stone axe from China. This is no ordinary axe. The unusual carving was probably intended to be used in a ceremonial and work place as witnessed by the design of the blade handle. A big bold and heavy creation- an evocative limestone carving with some age.
Provenance: Originally acquired in 2001 in North-western China.
