This is a beautiful tall 17″ tall example of a Chinese Taihu viewing stone or scholar rock mounted in a custom hand-carved hard wood base.
Dimensions: 17″ high with stand x 8″ wide x 5″ deep.
Taihu stones are also known as “infinity stones” because of their bountiful natural holes composition which evoke infinite spaces and spiritual layers. Taihu are natural occurring limestone specimens and come from Lake Tai in South eastern China. They are now hard to find as harvesting them is now prohibited. Our specimen comes from a forty year old private Chinese collection. Please see below for more historical information about these fascinating works of art.
