Designers source.
An early contemporary handmade and hand glazed tall slender tapered vase form with relief applied glazing, circa 1965.
Designer/Maker: Silberdistel Fayence, model 61-35, Gevelsberg, circa 1965.
Glaze: This unusual glaze and slender form is a land mark design of the fairly unknown Silberdistel Kiln firm. The gray and white colored glazes partially in relief, remind us of wavy seas or snow capped mountains and create a stunning and vibrant hand glazed finish which add to this charming addition
Additional comments: A rare and beautiful design- the first we have seen.
