Japan, an intriguing surviving three-piece Buddhist stone ornament in the form of a Gorinto style tiered Stupa and it is sculpted in
three very old pieces from a gray brown igneous stone. These three pieces would have originally been part of a larger group of five ornaments dating 100-200 years ago. This is an architectural work of art for display indoors or outdoors in your favorite place.

Gorinto Stupa is a uniquely Japanese invention depicting geometric forms that correspond to earth, water, fire, wind, and ethereal space. The Japanese Shingon sect of esoteric Buddhism views the Gorinto as a symbol of DaiNichi Buddha, who, underlying all things, manifests himself in the five elements making up the universe.
