Japan, an attractive and stately plump mouse form sculpture with a marvelous pair of fanciful gilt and verdigris eye lids. Its curved beak, tiny feet and tail, and accented eye sockets are handsome decoration and designed by an early Japanese artist.
It is stamped JAPAN on its bottom.
Found from a Japanese American tea garden.
Fine original used garden condition with original gold gilt patina appropriate to its age.
