Formerly in the Harold French collection, Amboy, Indiana (photo)
All stone carvings from America’s early history are scarce. Human effigy stone carvings such as this pipe example rarely come on to the market and are considered to be desirable. This pipe is likely unique having been carved from a brown hardstone.
Quality: no breaks and no repairs.
Dimensions: 7 inches tall on stand , 3 7/8 inches wide (pipe only 5.25 inches tall)
