This contemporary Ying scholar or viewing stone from Yingde County, Guangxi, China comes with a custom hardwood display base.
Ying stone is one of “four famous stones in China” and is also known as “music with eight sounds” stone. The texture of Ying stone is hard and belongs to limestone; the color is black/brown and grey.
Measurement: 14 inches tall
Completely natural- a marvel from mother nature Ying stone is produced in the mountainous area of the Yingde County at the junction of Guangdong and Guangxi, in the mountainous area of Guangxi. This specimen is from a private Chinese scholar collection.
