China important ancient Buddhist Memorial Sutra Pillar “Chuang”, hand carved hexagonal shaped pillar, limestone, 59″l x 14″d., Tang dynasty (618-907). It is completely covered on all planes with fine prolific script of that period.
A translation and two rubbings of the Buddhist Sutra inscribed on this memorial pillar “The blue nature Samadhi” is available, please see photos. The small rubbing calligraphy is 15 inches wide and 56 inches length and large rubbing is 28 inches wide and 56 inches length.
