Rare tall 7 inch size
Japan, a rare tall old, attractive and sturdy antique two section lantern with handsome iconic expressive “Watchful Owl” motif.
It possesses a wonderful original gilt and verdigris surfaces.
Found from a Japanese American tea garden.
Fine original used garden condition with original gilt over dark earthy green under patina appropriate to age including its original green felt under base padding – just the way we like to find them!
Heavy quality capable of handling inclement weather conditions.
