Japanese large exceptional handmade studio vase, Shoji Hamada style crafted in modified cylindrical form with a big bold Kanji character and interpretive Birds or organic inner design.
Crafted with applied free-form handles, brownish-green slip glaze and exposed areas of underlying clay.
An extraordinary Japanese fine, heavy, and thick hand cast vase in a decidedly mid century flavor. Beautiful craftsmanship, it is crafted with fine details.
Today these older finely embellished works of art serve as attractive collection gallery display or as accents for dried flower arrangements.
