Japan, a fine “Mountain Country House” winter screen, gold and pigment on silk ,six-panels, measuring 141″ in length fully extended and 68.75″ in height , Taisho period (1912-1926).
Mineral pigments, gofun (crushed shells), and applied gold with black lacquer wood frame.
A matching “summer” screen of identical dimensions is also available. Details upon request.
Signed Hasegawa Gyokujun, (Bunkyu 3 (1863)〜taisho10 (1921)) who worked in Kyoto area.
