A fine cast gold fish “kingyo” cast in a graceful animated form, complete with exaggerated bulging eyes, detailed scales, and long six section graceful tail. Handsome Japanese casting is created in a Chinese exotic fish style.
Unusual example rarely found, this is the first we have seen.
Notice the chocolate brown patina.
Dimensions: 4 inches high to top of suspension loop and 6 inches in length

Fish are homophones for another word that means affection and love; they are therefore symbols of love and friendship in Japan.
