Japan, this extra large hand-hammered and wrought bronze percussion instrument temple bell was created by specialized 19th century Samurai craftsman with dimpled construction and includes a rare incised signature of donor along rim. The temple bell sets atop a round lacquered footed wood display base with silk pillow and wooden striker. When struck, it creates a serene reverberating sound perfect for meditating, or as a warm, welcoming & pleasant house guest dinner chime indoors or out of doors,
Dimensions: 32.5.” high with display base and 16.25″ diameter. The bronze edo period, signed bell only measures 13.75″ high and 16″ diameter.
